I may have mentioned this already, but blessed/cursed with thick somewhat curly hair. As a result, I’ve become something of a shampoo and conditioner snob. It takes a while to find the right shampoo that works for you, once you find it, you’re not really really willing it let it go. I’m pretty sure my holy grail of shampoos is Pureology Hydrate, but I decided to test out the newly reformulated Matrix Biolage to see if it stands up to the test.
COLORLAST: Discover the power of the orchid.
I tested out the Matrix Biolage ColourLast since I tend to dye my hair every 4-5 weeks. What mostly need in a shampoo is the ability to keep my hair moisturized without stripping away the dye. The Matrix Biolage ColourLast line fit the bill to a T. It’s is a luxurious cleanser that’s pretty much designed for colour treated hair line mine. The not-so secret science behind it is the use of Orchid Extract which contains flavanoids. These Flavanoids is what keeps your hair looking vibrant by filtering out UV rays that can oxidize hair colour.
It’s not just colour retention that has me really excited about the problem. I also love the fact that there is virtually zero buildup in my hair, and my hair smells great too. A little goes a long way with the Matrix Biolage line, and you need the smallest amount to lather.
The newly redesigned line comes in 3 other formulas as well.
VOLUMEBOOM: Plunge into the voluminous effects of cotton.
HYDRASOURCE: Bring your body back to life with nature’s natural moisturizer, Aloe.
SMOOTHPROOF: Experience the endurance of the Camellia plant.
Note: Products are available exclusively in salons this April
