Last week, we had the opportunity to go to a salsa class with the lovely, and fabulous, Cheryl Burke. Yes, THAT Cheryl Burke.
She was in town for the launch of her second signature imPRESS Nail Designer Kits collections with Broadway Nails. Cheryl has created a collection of 4 limited editions colours for fall, and each one is better than the next.
This was my second time playing with press-on nails; the first time being at an event a year ago. For someone who is as hard on their nails as I am, it was a pleasant surprise to see nails last a full 5 days. The line suggested 7 days, but I was happy as a clam for 5. Press-on nails are a touch tricky to wear for long periods of time because the glue can start to separate, or your actual nail can start showing from underneath.
The trick here is cut your nails short before applying them, and make sure to wipe your nail with the cloth provided to remove all the oil from your nail. That’s as far as the complicated steps go. The rest is pretty easy. Find the right size, remove backing and apply in nail. Rinse and Repeat x10.
The best part about these nails was the fact that they don’t damage your nails. They are extremely convenient to apply , and just as easy to take off. Each kit includes 24 imPRESS nails and 2 sheets of pre-cut Kiss Nail Dress to create your own masterpiece nail art at home.
The kits are going for $12.99 and you can find them at Jean Coutu, London Drugs, Lawtons, Pharmasave, Uniprix, Brunet, Familiprix, and other mass retailers in stores November 2013.
One of the coolest things about having press-on nails is the lack of commitment that it comes with. As such, having specific Halloween themed nailed is a brilliant idea. If you’re looking at having your nails complete that perfect Halloween look, or go for a subtle nod to dressing up with the fangs, and the makeup, then these nails are for you.
These are priced at $10.99 and will be available at Brunet, Famprix, Proxim, Pharmasave, Uniprix, Lawtons, Jean Coutu, London Drugs, and Walmart
