I’ve had the pleasure of working with Karen Viray a few times on different projects and was ecstatic when I finally got to meet her in person. Her online personality doesn’t stray from who she is in real life, a beautiful, attentive, motivated, go-getter. She’s the type of Darling who is genuinely interested in the person she’s talking to. She also has a way of making you feel like you can take on the world — just like she is, although she’s humble about it — and that’s why she is our Darling of the Week.
My passion can’t be defined in one definite point. My passion is always rooted in art, design and being a creator from a very young age. I am fortunate to have a very diverse background and well rounded career that helps shape my views, skill set and business sense. Currently I am the Owner of Toronto-based online shoppe – The Red Bow, and also the Co-Founder of design agency v:space studio; through which I am the Creative Director for The Vanity Events. Many people don’t know that I have 8 years experience in Architecture and Interior Design, and have also worked on Bay Street in the gold mining industry in Investor Relations and Marketing. I definitely attribute a lot of who I am to my life and career experiences – it is important to me to be well versed and multi-faceted. My other passions? Shoes, sweets and books 😉
I am wearing: Strapless polka dot romper from Target, House Of Harlowe wedges, arm party from The Red Bow (of course!) and my new VAIN polish in ‘stormy K’
The most versatile item in my closet: Black pumps. I own several pairs
Beauty must-haves… Sunscreen, salmon oil and lots of water
One thing every girl should have: A keen intellect and a mean shoe game
What are you listening to right now: Toni Braxton(I know I’m old school)
The one thing I can’t leave the house without: iPhone + contact solution
Favorite place to eat in the city: Longtime fan of Terroni. I love Nadege + Le Neuf Cafe too (I’m a sweet tooth + pastry junkie).
Ideal friday night plans: At home making dinner or ordering in sushi, with a glass of red wine and my fave person.
All time favorite book/movie: The Princess Bride by William Goldman. I could watch this movie 100 times. Same goes for the novel, it’s highly satirical and I fall in love with it more and more each time I read it.
