If you are like most ladies out there, your hair is a constant source of upkeep, and a constant drain of your beauty budget.
The hair dresser can also be a scary place, if you are protective of your hair like many of us. We can usually detect even the most subtle changes in the length, so that the tiniest trim feels like a complete hair overhaul.
On top of that, going for a hair cut usually takes a big chunk of time and money that some of us just don’t have for our hair.
So we’ve decided to bring you some tips as to how to go longer between haircuts.
Skip The Heat
Step away from the flat iron! We know that having nice hair is important to you, but heating devices such as curling and flat irons can really negatively affect your hair. Especially if used regularly, these devices heat your hair to extremely high temperatures and can cause damage and breakage. Skipping the flat iron every second time will help your hair go for longer between hair cuts.
Don’t Wash It Every Day
Washing your hair every day is terrible news for your hair. Shampoo and the hot water can really dry out your hear, leading to breakage and, therefore, split ends. Skip the hair in the shower and give it a break. Every second day is plenty.
Braid it Before Bed
I know this is something you likely saw on ancient movies and tv shows, but there is a reason for it. Combing snags from a restless night out of your hair can break the hair causing split ends. The less knots, the better, and wearing it in a pony tail or an elastic band can achieve the opposite effect. A braid is a gentle way of keeping your hair back and knot-free during the night.
