Chances are that Dubai is on your travel bucket list. How can it not be? It’s majestic, wealthy, and has really interesting sights to see, and in the 20’s-30’s all year round. Having had one of the best experiences with Turkish Airlines on our trip to Istanbul last year, it’s almost impossible to say no when when Turkish Airlines, and Le Chateau reach out, and ask about joining them on 4 day trip to Dubai.
Why would Le Chateau be interested in going all the way to Dubai, you ask? – Easy, they just opened their first store outside of Canada, and chose Dubai of all places! While the store officially opened last month, we’re headed over there April 23-27 (aka #4daysinDubai) to experience the sights, sounds, and get some shopping done. Be sure to follow us on Twitter, and Instagram.

The tricky thing, however, is packing for 4 days in a Islamic country that’s used to hot weather. While we bust out the shorts, and bikini tops the instant that we get anywhere near 25’C, people in the Middle East still have to abide by the local culture.
Here are some rules that need to be kept in mind when packing for a 4 day trip to Dubai:
1) Shoulders need to be covered. This can be easily attained with a light scarf.
2) Skirts, shorts etc need to be to the knee or longer. Always.
3) Having a scarf with you to wear is key to not upsetting the locals.
4) Chiffon is your best friend. Not only does it cover everything, but allows your skin to breathe.
As a result, we’ve put together a list of appropriate outfits that will take us from the plane to the dessert, and all the sight-seeing in between all from Le Chateau packed in the ever so light-weight Samsonite B-Lite R suitcase.
