It’s finally June! Is anyone else looking forward to bringing out their summer outfits? We love wearing sandals and flip-flops in the summer, but sometimes you forget to go get a pedicure and you need something to hide your toes. Sometimes a good sneaker could complete an already cute outfit! You never thought we’d say that before, did you? Yeah, we were surprised too.
Today’s post will give you ideas on how to wear sneakers without looking like a 12-year-old boy, because let’s face it…isn’t that what we all think of when we think of the term “sneakers?” That, or little kids.
When selecting a sneaker, keep in mind that you still want it to look feminine and age-appropriate. In the sets below, I chose a pair of neutral Keds, Topshop kicks, and sparkly black Converse. I prefer to wear sneakers with shorts, skirts or dresses to keep the feminine factor apparent. If you have to wear pants, try a bright pair of skinny jeans.

Which outfit is your favorite? How do you wear your sneakers?
I actually really like the outfits posted, but I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t own a pair of sneakers! You’re right, I do think of a 16 year old boy when I think of them. Very cute ideas!
It’s so tomboy chic! I love it. I had to get off of ebay yesterday because I almost bought random sneakers. LOL.
I love these ideas, especially since I’m a big fan of wearing sneakers. Being 5 foot tall has it’s limitations though, and I always feel like I have to wear heels or wedges to be eye level with people. But these outfits show that I can still be girly, grown up looking and comfortable, while wearing sneakers. I need to get me some of those black sequin converse ones, or maybe some TOMS. 🙂
I want Toms!!!!
These are such great ideas!! I love your style ideas!!
Super cute possibilties.. I love my TOMS but they hurt my feet terribly !!! 🙁
