Best and Worst Dressed at the Golden Globes

Ah, award season. The time when everyone turns to the stars to see what trends are going to be big next year. Designers step on each other to have one of the leading ladies from film or television wear one of their creations. The best and worst dressed list at the Golden Globes is nothing, if not a requirement for any site that claims to have an interest in fashion.

The ever important question, “who are you wearing?” can make or break a career. This year was no exception.

While we did think that there were some great designs this year,   the more daring pieces that we’ve come to expect from our favorite celebrities were lacking. It felt that everyone attempted to play it safe this year.

So without further ado, here are the best dressed celebrities at the Golden Globes.

All these ladies stepped it up and looked fantastic, especially Halle Berry, whom we’ve never seen look any but stunning.  We’re also in love with Jennifer Lawrence’s dress. Even though Hayden’s dress reminded of the  bridal gowns you on TLC, she still rocked it.

Just as there are winners in every award ceremony, there are losers as well. The Golden Globes are no exception. Here are some of the ones we hated.  Surprisingly Julia Robert’s dress was slightly less offensive than these.Worst Dressed at the Golden Globes 2013

Dear Rachel, and Kerry, we hope that this dress does not make it to market. Its hideous and looks like the seamstress ran out of fabric to line the rest of your dress.

Dear Olivia, we love you. You’re hot, but you’re going to an award ceremony. Is this really the best you could do?

Dear Jessica, what happened to your dress?

And finally, Lucy, we don’t so much hate your dress, as are confused by why you chose to wear it. It truly reminds us of old curtains from the Sound of Music.

  1. I LOVED Lucy’s dress! I thought that Halle was trying too hard to copy the whole Angelina thing from last year and thought that Taylor was WAY overdressed for something as dressy-casual as the Golden Globes.
