But that’s not the only reason we asked wanted her to be our Darling of our Week, we wanted her because she’s lovely and Athena (one of our editors) has a huge girl crush on her, and its easy to see why.
Tell us a little about yourself and your site.
In 2007 I was working as a graphic/web designer for an art dealer in Los Angeles when my husband and I decided to start trying to have a baby. I created my blog on the side hoping that it could afford me to be a stay at home, or work at home mom, by the time I got pregnant and started a family. Five years later and we’re still trying. It’s an unfortunate situation, infertility, but starting my blog was the best thing I’ve ever done. Through the years it brought back all my creativity that I thought I had lost and through it, I found myself again, as cliche as that may sound. I really get to do what I love and not only share my story and struggles with other women, but also offer creative inspiration through style and DIYs for them to take away with. At the end of 2011, with a book deal in my pocket, I finally left the art gallery and became a full-time blogger. Just recently, my husband and I, both born and raised in sunny LA {more specifically the Valley} bought a house up in the mountains by a lake, about an hour and a half away, and are enjoying the extremely http://premier-pharmacy.com/product-category/asthma/ different snowy weather conditions, and finding comfort in a much slower and quieter lifestyle.
I am wearing: Right now I’m wearing a plaid flannel button down under a navy chunky knit sweater with leggings and a leg warmers. It’s very cold in our new location. I wear leg warmers almost daily, which actually makes me really happy.
The most versatile item in my closet: My Burberry trench coat, and any great fitting jeans.
Beauty must-haves… For me, it’s my precision short & flat eyelash curler and L’Oreal Double Extend Waterproof Lash Fortifier and Extender Mascara. My eyelashes are very short and very straight and very light, and these two beauty tools give the illusion that they are not.
One thing every girl should have: A great bra. A fabulously fitting pair of jeans. A genuine smile. Wait, that’s 3.
What are you listening to right now: Lana Del Rey and always 80’s Flashback radio on itunes.
The one thing I can’t leave the house without: Sunglasses! I never leave without sunglasses. My eyes are so sensitive to the sun and I don’t like to squint!
Favorite place to eat in the city: My favorite place in LA was Yen Sushi, the best sushi ever. Here, now, it’s my own kitchen.
Ideal friday night plans: on the couch with my husband & dogs watching a movie… with a fire, some dark chocolate and a blanket.
All time favorite book/movie: The Alchemist is my all time favorite book. I’ve read it a million times. It’s a quick read that always changes my perspective. No matter how many times I read it, I learn something new each time. Though I have a bazillion favorite movies, Shakespeare in Love is at the top of my list.
