The countdown to Christmas is on!
With the big day right around the corner, our friends at Giftagram have decided to step up the gift donation traditional with a digital twist!
Partnering with CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish, the Giftagram app makes donating to less fortunate children that might much easier- with just two taps of their iPhone.
What does that mean?
Well, for donors, that means no trips to the mall, no getting lost in toy stores, and no hunting for a donation box. Now for the first time ever, anyone can donate toys 24/7, from anywhere in Canada. Giving back to a child in need in the Toronto area is as simple as downloading the Giftagram app, picking a toy and hitting “donate”. Giftagram CEO Jason Reid believes this tech-focused toy drive will resonate with young, time-strapped individuals who want to be thoughtful but still look for convenience.
With toy options ranging between $10 and $150, there’s a price point to suit all budgets, which makes Christmas Wish optimistic the partnership will lead to a substantial increase in donations: “Finding a present under the tree on Christmas morning is an experience every child deserves,” said Joanne MacDonald, Vice-President, CTV News. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Giftagram to make donating even easier, and look forward to bringing joy to families and kids this Christmas.”
A long-standing holiday tradition in Toronto, CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish will be marking its 50th anniversary in 2016. In 2015 the toy drive helped make Christmas brighter for hundreds of thousands of children throughout the GTA.
