Some of you might be going crazy for turkey this weekend, but for me – you know it’s ALL about dessert. I’ve always had a sweet tooth and I’ll take any excuse, including Thanksgiving, to give in and indulge a little.
If you’re on dessert duty for this year’s Thanksgiving dinner and are scrambling last minute, here’s 3 tips to make it easy-peasy:
1. Give yourself some time. The best way to stay calm is by planning ahead. Luckily, dessert is usually something you can make in advance so be sure to set aside some time in the morning to get everything done (and taste-tested!) before the guests arrive.
2. It’s all in the details. Give thanks in style with a little attention to detail. We’re loving Williams-Sonoma’s Nordic Ware pans that have exceptional detail and basically allow you to create bake shop worthy desserts with no fuss. Check out both the apple cakelet pan and the fall bakeware loaf pan. Oh, and don’t be afraid to add a little garnish or drizzle for effect.
3. Stick to the classics. To most,Thanksgiving is synonymous with fall. Think leaves changing colours, cozy knits and of course – apple and pumpkin everything.
