We were lucky enough to receive the line to review for you, and another set to give away. These products are made in the USA, which is great for those of us who are trying to purchase from companies who make their product locally. Giovanni has been building their brand, and has a few different new product lines coming out.

The product line that we’re reviewing is a new line called 2chic Ultra-Moist Collection with Avacado and Olive Oil. The line includes Ultra-Moist Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave in Conditioning and Styling Elixir, Dual Action Protective Leave-In Spray, Deep Deep Moisture Hair Mask, and the Super Potion Anti-Frizz Binding Serum.

Review

Now that we’re going into spring, my hair definitely needed some TLC, so I started off by using the Deep Deep Moisture Hair Mask, after shampooing with the Ultra-Moist Shampoo.

The shampoo even feels moist when you are lathering. It’s thick and kicks up a lot of scrubbing action, which is nice. I shampooed twice to get my hair really clean and build-up free prior to putting on the hair mask.

The hair mask went on right after, and it stayed on my hair before rinsing for about 5 minutes. When I rinsed it out, my hair was very tangled as I had “massaged” the mask into my hair. That’s the only thing to watch out for, if you have easily tangled hair.

When I got out of the shower and my hair dried, I was pleasantly surprised by how much the mask and shampoo restored some of the much-needed moisture. I followed the directions on the bottle and massaged the mask into my entire hair, including my roots, and was happy that the mask didn’t make my roots greasy, like putting conditioner on them does sometimes.

To make it easier to comb through I used the Leave-In Conditioner and Styling Elixir. This definitely made it easier to get the brush through my hair and before styling, I sprayed on the Protective Leave-In Spray. I always use a protective spray before using heat on my hair.

After styling, I used my favorite product in this line – the Anti-Frizz Binding Serum. I find that, after using a flat iron, my hair can lose some of it’s shine, and this really helped tame the fly-aways and bring back the shine that it lost during the flat ironing process.

I love that this company also doesn’t use parabens or lauryl/laureth sulfate in their products. These chemicals are bad for your body and the environment.
