I love live music. I love the energy, the crowds, and the part where I lose my voice. I even love sitting in traffic for an hour after the concert, blasting music from my stereo and singing really loud.
There’s something magical, and exhilarating about concerts that allows you to instantly create a bond with the fellow concert goers, and the artist all at the same time.
So, it’s no wonder that I look for ways to enhance my concert experience every time I go to one. And one of the best ways I do this is by using the access my American Express Card provides.
Why?
Well, for starters, traffic. Specifically, out of town and rush hour traffic.
You see, my work day doesn’t end till 6pm or 7pm at the earliest, and getting across town to the concert arena early just isn’t an option Neither is waiting in line. So, discovering that Amex has an entrance at the Molson Canadian Ampitheatre, dedicated for Cardmembers, that allows me to skip the long line ups, was very exciting.
And learning about all the other perks Amex Cardmembers get at some of the most popular venues across the city is just the icing on the cake!
In order to take advantage of all the perks of being an American Express Cardmember, I took a friend who loves country music to the Jason Aldean concert last week, courtesy of Amex.. Since it was his first time going to a concert with me, I wanted to show him all the Cardmember perks that are sure to make anyone feel like a VIP..
Bonus: we watched the entire concert from the pit. Yes, we reached out and touched Jason! I can’t begin to tell you how cool that was.
There are quite a few cool benefits that come with being a Cardmember.
My favourite, by far, is Amex’s Front Of The Line Presales where Cardmembers can get tickets to some of their favourite shows before anyone else. Also, Cardmembers can sit back and relax in American Express Lounges, not only at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, but also at Roy Thomson Hall, Princess of Wales Theatre, in addition to express service at the American Express bar at Massey Hall.
So, let’s recap- no lines, access to lounges at some of the most popular venues across the city, early access to tickets and reserved ticket allotments. Yes, pretty much the best things you can offer to a live music lover.
I know I sound old by saying this, but going to concerts or events after work on a weekday can be a challenge. So having Amex make the experience that much more enjoyable is a such a treat.
And it’s not just me who thinks so- they unlock memorable moments for half a million Canadians every year. In 2015, Amex will help over 400k fans rock out to their favourite bands!
With that said, being able to get away from behind the scene and having the opportunity to mingle with people who have the same interest as you is such as treat. Get out there and make your own memories!
