Position 1: Graphics Intern
Company: Chic Darling
Location: remote (preferably Toronto, or Vancouver, San Diego)
Responsibilities: You’ll get to be part of the evolving phase of the Chic Darling’s tremendous online growth. And you’ll get to work with the co-founders, and our regional editors throughout North America, and see it all come together. But for real, here’s the deal. We need help. The pretty features you see every day don’t appear with a sprinkle of fairy dust, and we want your amazing graphics skills to help make them beautiful!
Compensation: School credit.
Qualifications: Applicants must be proficient in Photoshop. Preference given if you know InDesign and Illustrator, as well. We’ll help you get there with the editorial stuff- that’s our domain anyway! And while graphic design or journalism majors are preferred, some of the best graphic designers that we know didn’t step inside a school for it. BUT, if you like writing stuff, and design pretty things, then we’re going to be best friends. While we would love to meet you in person, we understand that there are some REALLY talented people out there who live away from us, so don’t let the geographic locations deter you!
How to Apply: E-mail internships@chicdarling.com with the subject line “SPRING GRAPHICS INTERN.” Applicants without this subject line will not be considered.
Application should include:
• your resume
• your cover letter about why you want to work with Chic Darling
• a link to your online portfolio
As much we love getting files emailed to us, please have pity on our hardrives, and send us links instead. We need to be able to click over and view your portfolio online!
Must Apply By: Wednesday, Jan 22
Duration: January 31 thru May 15
