Joe Fresh Creative Director Joe Mimran’s inspiration for his Fall/Winter 2013 collection is pretty obvious. From the music, to the clothes, to the model’s headscarves, it’s clear that this collection is inspired by a jazzy Parisian chic. In interviews, the designer credited Malcolm McLaren’s 1994 album “Paris” as his first inspiration for the new collection.
I have to say I am usually someone who loves to wear color- but this collection made me want to wear all black and white, all day everyday. The Fall/Winter collection is composed of mostly monochromatic styles, with pops of color here and there- after all Parisian women are known for their neutral color palette and their ability to look so sophisticate yet effortless at the same time.
This collection is all about finding that right balance between femininity and your rocker edge. This Joe Fresh girl will pair a classic striped black and white sweater with a faux white leather studded jacket. It’s all about mixing and matching textures, from faux furs to faux leathers, and studs. The edgier more rocker pieces were what really stood out for me from this collection, like this faux white leather embellished jacket-absolutely love it!
