I love writing weekly obsession posts: it allows me to actually sit back and think about what I like, what I love, and what I wear. This week my obsessions come up SHORT.
Short Jean Jackets (Forever 21 $24.80)
This jacket is my newest go-to piece. I find the subway to be an icebox some mornings and this jean jacket is surprisingly warm but not so warm that I start sweating. I love it because I can pair it with anything from coloured jeans, to black dress Capri pants, to a sundress, to a skirt!
Short Dresses (Forever 21 $15.80)
It’s summertime in Toronto and when I wear this dress with my short jean jacket and a cute pair of floral flats – I feel flirty, chic, comfortable, and ready for the workday. I love that I can dress it up for the evening with a big statement necklace (like this one) and some heels.
Short Books (Chapters $9.35)
Who knew how amazingly detailed a shorter novel could be. I’ve been reading classics lately and the ones I’ve been drawn to are all short in length but so well-written it hurts. I recommend The Great Gatsby, Double Indemnity, and On Writing by Ernest Hemingway if you’re looking for a short subway read.
Short Hair
Although I could never pull a Miley with my locks, Jennifer Lawrence has got me longing for a haircut. I love shorter hair in the summertime and this cut is so feminine and soft and it looks so LIGHT – all of you long thick haired ladies know what I’m talking about!
