This is my first time posting Obsessions of the Week and let me tell you, it wasn’t hard at all to a) pick a theme…hello make-up edition or b) pick products.
My make-up routine is not extensive but when I find a product I like, I become an avid consumer and advocate. Here are some of my make-up obsessions that I cannot live without.
CoverGirl Translucent Powder: I’ve never been much for foundation, and think that a translucent powder is a great alternative if you’re just trying to balance out your skin tone and reduce shine. Not only is this an obsession of the week, but a product that I simply cannot live without.
Bourjois Volumizer Mascara: I am ALWAYS on the hunt for good mascara….always. When I tried this Volumizer mascara by Bourjois, I instantly fell in love. Generally not a fan of two-wand mascaras, I decided to give this brand a try and let me tell you, it works. The first wand gives you a 3-D effect, curling and placing a base on your lashes, while the second wand plumps, volumizes and thickens your lashes. I’ve never had my lashes look so full! And others notice too, always asking if I’m wearing fake lashes. A definite must have.
No Bleeding Lips: I recently fell in love with wearing lipstick but not lip liner. No Bleeding Lips, a clear lip liner does the trick, holding your lip colour and when your colour wears off, you’re not left with that awkward lip line.
Maybelline Vivid Rose: Vivid Rose by Maybelline is a great colour for any skin tone and is perfect for the summer. Some lipsticks dry out your lips by the end of the day, but not Vivid Rose. I find it lasts, doesn’t smear and doesn’t dry my lips out.
Sonia Kashuk Retractable Lip Brush: I think everyone needs a lip brush to help even out the colour and it’s perfect to use in between re-applying your lipstick. This retractable lip brush by Sonia Kashuk is perfect for all your needs…just remember to wash it before getting into a new colour.
