I don’t know about where you are, but this summer was a scorcher here. It still is to some degree. That hasn’t, however, stopped me from getting ready for fall with a little bit of shopping. As you may have read, I try to not wear too much makeup in the summer. I mean who wants to have a ton of stuff on their face in heat waves, but fall is where go a little nuts, and pick up my favourite shades, or try new things and experiment.
Benefit Rockateur- is the most perfect blush ever. Yes, I use it as a blush and not a bronzer as it’s more rosy then golden. It looks slightly deceiving since it’a a bit shimmery in the box, and most people might shy away from it, but it looks great on, and goes perfecting with a the little bit of tan we all have left over. The best part about it is the fact it adds a bit of dimension to your face, along with colour. $28
Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream: There is not much I can say about this besides the fact that I’m in love. Clinique’s CC cream gives me the perfect amount of coverage (light to medium) without my skin feeling cake-y or dry. It spreads easily, illuminates the skin, AND has an SPF of 30. This is the prefect product for you’re looking for that dewy look and need redness coverage (not acne scars). The best part about Clinique is that fact that it’s hypoallergenic, so I don’t have to worry about my skin breaking out. $35
Quo Cool Tools Brushes: This is the travel kit. It has everything that I would ever need (powder, foundation, all over shadow, crease blender and liner/brow brush) and comes in a handy case to make sure nothing gets broken. I’ve been using the powder brush every day, and really like how easily I can blend with it. Only available at Shoppers Drugmart $45
CND Vinylux Nail polishes: Nail polishes and I have a love/hate relationship. While I love applying them, I have when they chip in 3 days. Enter CDN Vinylux polishes. Not only did my at home mani last an entire WEEK, but the colour selections are vibrant. The top coat alone is a must have for everyone out there, but the entire system works really well together. They come in 62 shades and are perfect for the times when you can’t get to a salon for a mani but still want it to last a week.
Consonant Skincare DHE MASK: I normally am weary of masks as I tend to break out, but having had great luck with Consonant products before (Facewash), I went ahead and tried it. I was genuinely surprised at how great my skin felt after. It’s an all natural mask that detoxifies, hydrates, and exfoliates. All you need is a thin application. Luckily it smells like tea tree oil too! It’s perfect to perk up your skin when you need it. $45
