VITAMIN A Makes a Splash in Shangri-La Hotel Toronto’s Swimming Pool

Since its inception in 2000, VITAMIN A has become synonymous with quality craftsmanship and a design style that is hip-slimming, bust-boosting, figure-flattering perfection so it’s no wonder that collection, which partnered with Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie, Shangri-La Hotel Toronto, was such as success.  VITAMIN A also had Canadian fashion icon Jeanne Beker as host for the evening, who introduced the Spring 2015 swimwear line.

Arriving on the hotel’s fifth floor, guests were presented with the “Swimming Pool,” the famous Parisian cocktail made with Perrier Jouet champagne served on ice. The “Swimming Pool” was offered in celebration of the collaboration with VITAMIN A, along with canapés created by executive chef Damon Campbell, including dungeness crab with compressed watermelon, lime and coriander, and oysters on the half shell, with yuzu mignonette.

VITAMIN A creative director Amahlia Steven describes the design of her 2015 line as “inspired by the idea of sporty chic – from the crisp vintage glamour of tennis and sailing to the Slim Aaron’s photos of the jet set on holiday. Fresh textures, clean stripes and architectural silhouettes meet sublime new fabrics and fits. And, as always, the collection is rooted in authentic California style – the laid back, sexy, all natural beach beauty that’s in our DNA.”

We can’t stop looking at the amazing designs, and have a wish-list already.

  1. Stripes & cut-outs make these swimsuits amazingly edgy, but most importantly chic & wearable. As an anti-frilly gal myself, I’d wear these suits in a heartbeat. Unless, of course, any sort of tanning is involved!
