Last night I headed over to The Ten Spot in Forest Hill for their Media Party. Girls Night Out Sangria flowed, cupcakes from The Purple Cupcake were eaten, and every lady that attended happily got nailed. The media guests got to choose from a quickie mani or quickie pedi while we mingled and sipped our wine. I chose a quickie mani because I love having a fresh coat of paint on my nails. First I chose my colours, a delightful pink shade and a neon yellow for an accented corner.
I was introduced to Brooke, my manicurist who stared off my mani by sanitizing her hands and then having me do the same. She then stuck a brand new emory board on a steel nail file, ensuring me that they are a one-time-use deal. I have never been to a Ten Spot before and I must say that their attention to detail and cleanliness has me yearning to go back. After chatting for an hour with the sweet and friendly Brooke, I noticed that my nails were already done. Shaped exactly the way I like them (a soft square) and painted to perfection.
Although The Ten Spot offers services ranging from manicures and pedicures to waxing and facials, the most important thing they offer is great customer service. Everyone I spoke to last night was inviting, sweet, and excited to be there. For me this was a massive relief, I find sometimes when I walk into spas that are too high end I feel like I don’t belong, this was not that case at The Ten Spot. It is the perfect combination of small-scale sweetness and high end services for great prices.
Thanks for having me, you ladies sure know how to throw a mani/pedi party!
